NEWS: Righty Edward Cabrera was activated from the 15-day IL and rejoined the Marlin rotation Friday evening. Miami also placed catcher Nick Fortes on the 10-day IL, selected the contract of veteran catcher Rob Brantly, and designated pitcher Xzavion Curry for assignment.
IMPACT: Medium 
BHQ SPIN: Cabrera pitched decently Friday, going 5.2 innings yielding four hits, three walks and two earned runs while fanning five. He is coming off a 2024 season during which he compiled a 4.95 ERA; however, an xERA of 3.91 and a BPX of 90 are a bit more promising.
