Active Brewers add Ramirez, Gonzalez, Veras

Fueled by the potential loss of slugger Prince Fielder (1B, FA) and Ryan Braun's (OF, MIL) impending 50-game PED suspension, MIL signed 33-year old Aramis Ramirez (3B, MIL) to fill the gap in the middle of the lineup. He'll replace the recently departed Casey McGehee (3B, PIT) at third base.

Ramirez got off to a horrific start in 2011, with just two HRs by June. But the noted warm-weather hitter put it all together for another season duplicative of his 2009-10 effort. Miller Park is slightly less favorable to RHBs, although he'll benefit from remaining in the NL Central where divisional pitching foes remain suspect at best.
