PT TOMORROW: NL Central—An abundance of opportunity in the saves and starts picture

St. Louis Cardinals

As was the case for the 2019 season, the Cardinals’ usage of Carlos Martínez (RHP, STL) will dictate his own fantasy value as well as numerous other pitchers on the staff. Though he was delayed in getting to camp, Martínez has passed all health protocols and relayed to the team that he had thrown 95 pitches across seven innings in the Dominican Republic prior to returning to St. Louis. Given that news and the general tenor from Cardinals’ camp, it appears that Martínez is still slotted for a spot in the rotation. With Miles Mikolas (RHP, STL) now fully recovered from a forearm injury originally suffered in the spring, starting roles are in short supply. That could push Kwang-Hyun Kim (LHP, STL) to a multi-inning role...

Almost!
