PT TOMORROW: NL West—Will O'Brien play?

Prospect watchers have long been waiting for Peter O'Brien (OF, ARI) to get some regular playing time at the big league level. He's one step closer to doing so given his recent call-up combined with Chris Owings' (OF, ARI) trip to the DL (plantar fasciitis). O'Brien is known for his mega-power, as he's already smashed 17 HR with a 1.025 OPS over 212 AB at AAA-Reno this season. O'Brien's plate skills have been a disaster at Triple-A (9/61 BB/K), however, and they haven't been much better in the majors. The power is sexy and may attract some hefty FAAB bids, but O'Brien's plate approach should limit him to starts vs. LHP only.
