PT TOMORROW: NL West—Rodney on borrowed time?

When they signed Fernando Rodney (RHP, ARI) this past offseason, the Diamondbacks were no doubt hoping to get the reliever who went 17-for-17 in Sv opportunities the 1H of 2016, with a sparkling 0.29 ERA and 2.90 xERA. Instead, they might be sensing they have gotten the same version that wilted down the stretch—with a 6.23 ERA and alarming 6.2 Ctl in 35 IP with Miami. Now 40 years of age, Rodney has given up 14 ER in his first 11 IP (11.45 ERA) with (again) a Ctl above 6.0 to start the season, putting his long-term viability as the Diamondbacks closer very much in jeopardy. 

Archie Bradley (RHP, ARI) is still the high-end speculative play, with the underlying skills to catapult him into the upper tier of the closer...
