There was a time in the latter half of spring training, not long ago, when the outlook for the San Francisco outfield was starting feel, well, settled—a promising (aka, contact-making) Jarrett Parker (OF, SF) in left, bounce-back candidate Denard Span (OF, SF) in center, and healing Hunter Pence (OF, SF) in right. Within the last week, however, uncertainty has again reared its head.
