AL East: Trevor's 2026 Story continues, but for how long?

On Sunday, Boston welcomed back two players from injury into its starting lineup, as Roman Anthony hit leadoff as the designated hitter, and Trevor Story started at shortstop, hitting eighth. Boston, which has gotten strong performances from replacement options, ended up demoting Mickey Gasper and Anthony Seigler to Triple-A to make room for Anthony and Story.
Gasper's demotion was short-lived, as he returned on Monday to replace the injured Willson Contreras as Boston's first baseman. This will afford him an opportunity to continue his torrid stretch (.423/.595/1.115 in 37 PA) since being called up for designated hitter duties following Masataka Yoshida's injury. Seigler, meanwhile, has held his own offensively this year...
