PT TOMORROW: NL East—Something to Muller (and other musings from the farm)

Atlanta Braves

Kyle Muller (LHP, ATL) debuted in 2021 for the Braves and actually held his own (4.17 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 11% K-BB% in 8 GS and 37 IP). He showed an ability to miss bats (24% K%, 13.4 SwK) but also the plate (13% BB%). Over three starts at Triple-A this season, the 24-year-old has been fantastic: 2.87 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, 3 BB, 20 K in 15.2 IP. If that shiny 5.1% walk rate is indicative of a new level of control (last year it was 12.2% in MiLB), it shouldn’t be too long before Muller will get another crack at the Braves rotation.

Travis Demeritte (OF, ATL) has made a few appearances in this space over the past couple years even while not making much impact at the MLB level yet (.217/.284/.323, 29 R, 3 HR, 14 RBI, 3 SB in 198 AB)....
