PT TOMORROW: NL Central—Davies knocking on the door

Tyler Cravy (RHP, MIL) was called up to take the roster spot of Matt Garza (RHP, MIL), who landed on the disabled list with a lat strain, and as noted by analyst Tom Kephart in PT Today, his BPIs were shaky in 2015. But off days in the schedule will allow the Brewers to utilize a four-man rotation for the first couple weeks of the season, meaning Cravy will pitch out of the pen initially.

When the team eventually needs a fifth starter, Zach Davies (RHP, MIL) appears to be the most likely candidate, and he's pretty intriguing. His 7.2 Dom and 2.3 Cmd at Triple-A last year, along with his 1.6 Cmd in six September starts with Milwaukee don't hint at much upside. But he does an excellent job of keeping the ball down, and...
