With just seven weeks left in the season, playing time opportunities on also-ran teams are usually fluid and bear watching—even on a club without much MLB-ready depth like the Angels. For one, the departure of Brandon Marsh (together with Mike Trout's ongoing IL stint) is good news for up-and-down outfielder Jo Adell, who now seems like a lock to continue his development at the MLB level. Adell has started seven of the Angels' last nine games in LF since July turned to August, and now seems like a decent bet to be in the lineup on most nights the rest of the way.

The 23-year-old Adell hasn't exactly earned a vote of confidence with his numbers to date, either at AAA-Salt Lake City or with the Angels. A 30+% K% at both...
