Losers of five of their last six games through Monday, Texas' outmanned pitching staff has given up 47 runs in the process—and increased the front office's urgency to seek help via the trade market. This is the predictable result of relying on names like Nick Martinez (RHP, TEX)—15 earned runs, 6/14 K/BB over 20 IP covering four starts in June 18—and Alex Chi Chi González (RHP, TEX)—six runs over six IP through two starts over the past week—not to mention an overworked back of the bullpen. Now just past the halfway point in the season, closer Sam Dyson (RHP, TEX) has appeared in half of the Rangers' 84 games, leading only setup man Jake Diekman's (38 games) in that category.
