Alex Bregman's (SS/3B, HOU) barrel-up-everything day on a national stage provided by the MLB Futures Game was just the latest statement as to his readiness for an MLB audition. Bregman finished 3-for-5 (a HR short of the cycle) with impressive defensive chops at third base—this coming on the heels of a 14-for-36, five HR tear through eight games since his Triple-A promotion. Small sample skeptics should note the combined 44/33 BB/K through 272 AB between AA and AAA to date, which has been the primary driver of Bregman's overall 1.019 OPS / 19 HR 2016 performance.
