José Ramírez (2B/3B, CLE) was recently quoted by The Athletic's Zack Meisel as saying, "Francisco Mejía (C/3B, CLE) is the best hitter on the Indians' roster." Indians' GM Mike Chernoff also noted that Mejia "could move to other positions" (plural) in order to help the club. That said, he's currently third in the catcher pecking order behind incumbents Roberto Pérez (C, CLE) and Yan Gomes (C, CLE), the latter of which is still owed over $33M including his option years.
