The Twins say the Miguel Sanó (3B/OF, MIN) outfield experiment is over, and given the DH moves made in the last week, Trevor Plouffe's (3B, MIN) days in Minneapolis may be over once he returns from the DL. In a career year at the plate, Eduardo Núñez (SS/3B, MIN) may ultimately serve as DH, but others are getting or could get their shots.

Kennys Vargas (DH, MIN; pictured above) was promoted July 4 and previewed in the July 5 PT Today. Analyst Alex Beckey outlined the conditions for success, and Vargas did show his best monthly Eye of the 2016 season at Triple-A Rochester with a June 0.96 Eye to go with a 74% ct% and 20% bb%. Vargas began July with a 4-for-12 and two HR. He was completely out of sync with MIN in 2015...
