The Twins are the only Central team with no worries so far in the middle infield. Jorge Polanco (SS, MIN) and Brian Dozier (2B, MIN) are doing fine, so we'll look at some possibilities should disaster strike.

Nick Gordon (SS, MIN; pictured above), the Number 2 prospect in the BaseballHQ.com 2017 Minnesota Organization Report, has been a bright spot for Double-A Chattanooga in a Southern League that has eight of its 10 clubs dealing with a team BA under .250. Splitting time between 2B and SS, Gordon hasn't let the added position bother him on offense (24-for-70, one HR). His walk rate had slipped to a 5% bb% in 2016, but his early work in 2017 bears watching for a possible rebound. Gordon is following up an eight BB in 91...
