NEWS: The Rangers optioned UT Ezequiel Duran to Triple-A Round Rock and recalled OF Derek Hill.

BHQ SPIN: Duran has struggled in a part-time role for most of the season, so Texas hopes to get him untracked with more regular play in the minors. Hill started on Wednesday 6/27 against MIL lefty Dallas Keuchel, and figures to get some spot starts in CF against LHP, with Leody Taveras sitting more against southpaws (although we’d anticipated some reduced usage in the second half for Taveras, so no adjustment in his PT was needed).
