NEWS: The Red Sox placed SS Trevor Story on the 10-day injured list with a sports hernia. The move was made retroactive to May 15.

BHQ SPIN: Story had been trying to play through what was described as a minor groin issue for most of the season, but now he will get an extended rest to get the issue behind him. Story’s attempt to play through the injury had not been going well, as his contact and hard contact rates had receded back to the levels of injury-addled 2023 and 2024 seasons rather than last year’s renaissance.
