Mariners

NEWS: Seattle activated 3B Eugenio Suárez from the 10-day IL and sent OF Taylor Trammell down to AAA-Tacoma.

IMPACT: Medium

BHQ SPIN: Suárez was able to return after a minimum stay on the IL. He will start out as DH while his finger continues to heal to where he can throw at 100% intensity. He is a needed boost for the middle of the Mariners lineup and he was having a great 2nd half with 18 HRs, 46 RBIs, and a .869 OPS. Until Suárez settles back into third base, it will likely mean a few less starts at DH for OF Jesse Winker. Once he is back at 3B, it will likely mean a few less starts also for 1B Carlos Santana.
