NEWS: The team placed 1B/DH Rafael Devers on the IL and have scheduled season-ending core surgery for Tuesday. Outfielder Scott Bandura was recalled from Triple-A.

BHQ SPIN: The injury came as a surprise, as Devers was in the midst of a months-long power surge, as he’ll end the season with a .258 BA along with 37 HR and 98 RBI.
