NEWS: Rays RHP Tyler Glasnow will undergo an MRI Feb. 28 to determine the severity of an oblique injury he sustained while throwing to hitters on Monday.

IMPACT: Medium

BHQ SPIN: While the MRI will help clarify how much time Glasnow might miss, such injuries typically require a recovery time of six to eight weeks, meaning that Glasnow will almost certainly miss some regular season starts, perhaps a month’s worth, if not more. RHP Luis Patiño and RHP Yonny Chirinos are candidates to replace Glasnow in the rotation, if he is forced to miss time.
