NEWS: Recalled SS Konnor Griffin from Triple-A Indianapolis.

BHQ SPIN: The Pirates make their SS of the future their SS of the present, summoning the #1 prospect from our offseason HQ100 prospect list. Griffin’s arrival will push Jared Triolo off of shortstop. In turn, Triolo will likely eat into Nick Gonzales’ 3B time. The Pirates infield will remain crowded, as Nick Yorke also remains on the active roster. Notably, backup OF Billy Cook was sent down in the corresponding move, which suggests that Yorke will pick up some short-side platoon work in the outfield going forward.
