Hoes, 23, is back up with the Orioles after a brief September '12 callup with 1 AB in the majors. Hoes possesses solid tools across the board, though not a plus tool. His greatest strength is his solid plate approach, working counts and making good contact. He usually puts the barrel of the bat on the ball, and has seen a nice uptick to an already solid batting eye since the beginning of '12 season. Good hand-eye coordination, bat speed, and a balanced, level swing help Hoes spray line drives from foul pole to foul pole. Power is below average, and he has yet to hit more than 9 HR in any season, but still has some...
