The 28-year-old has been promoted to the majors for the first time as a result of the Mets placing OF Yoenis Céspedes on the disabled list. The right-handed hitter is all about power as he’s hit at least 20 HR in all but two of his full pro seasons. Taijeron has matched his career-high with 25 long ball this year.
