Just a couple of weeks ago, a well-timed scroll through my Twitter feed steered me to the release announcement for this book:

The instant I saw the title, this book jumped to the top of my summer reading list. Why? I have a special affinity for the 1981 season, even though it's regarded within baseball annals as an abomination.
My first fantasy baseball experience involved the 1981 season. It didn't exactly happen in 1981; after all, I was nine years old that summer.
