In what was considered a somewhat surprising move at the time, the Padres decided to send Luis Urías (2B, SD) back to Triple-A at the end of spring training, keeping him off the Opening Day roster. That didn’t last long, however, as an injury to Franchy Cordero (OF, SD) created an opening for him to rejoin the club.
