PT TOMORROW: NL East—WAS will face tough decisions this winter

With Jordan Zimmermann (RHP, WAS) and Doug Fister (RHP, WAS) both eligible for free agency this winter, the Nationals will have some decisions to make. Fister is certain to move on, but it will be interesting to see if Zimmermann also takes that route. Our guess is that Zimmermann will be pitching elsewhere in 2016. Even without those two, the Nationals would have the likes of Max Scherzer (RHP, WAS), Stephen Strasburg (RHP, WAS), Gio González (LHP, WAS), Joe Ross (RHP, WAS) and Tanner Roark (RHP, WAS) under team control for 2016.

A.J. Cole (RHP, WAS), the team’s 2nd best prospect according to BaseballHQ.com, would presumably battle Roark for the fifth starter gig. The 23-year-old has a 3.15 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 6.5 Dom...
