PT TOMORROW: NL East—Might Aaron Nola soon join the PHI rotation?

We have discussed the team’s starting pitching woes numerous times this year, most recently last month, and the problems have gotten worse of late. Aaron Harang (RHP, PHI), who had been the team’s most consistent starter outside of Cole Hamels (LHP, PHI) hit the disabled list on July 2 with plantar fasciitis. Consider that the starters not named Hamels have combined for a 5.95 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in 355.2 IP while averaging roughly 5.1 IP per start through July 4.

Chad Billingsley (RHP, PHI) was reinstated from the disabled list to take Harang’s spot in the starting rotation. He hasn’t provided much reason for optimism in his four major league starts this season (21 IP, 33 H, 18 ER, 6 BB, 8 K before Monday's start in...
