You’d think that the last thing the Mets need on the roster is another 2B/3B/LF type, with so many players able to cover those positions already. But as the trade deadline approaches, Todd Frazier (3B, NYM) appears to be among the most likely Mets to be dealt. If that happens, the team could re-install J.D. Davis (3B/OF, NYM) at 3B and open up a roster spot for the once and future Met, Dilson Herrera (INF/OF, NYM).

You might remember Herrera as a precocious Mets prospect who made his MLB debut in 2014 after a string of successful stops up the minor league ladder. The 20-year-old was challenged in his first exposure (.220/.303/.407 in 59 AB), but his 105 wRC+ at the major league level was promising. Herrera was the heir...
