Michael Lorenzen (RHP, CIN) was significantly outperforming his peripherals for quite some time, as he had a 3.29 ERA in his first 12 starts, despite a 1.2 Cmd and 1.6 HR/9. He was due for a correction, and has certainly seen one, with 27 earned runs allowed across 19 1/3 innings in his last five starts. He's been optioned to Triple-A Louisville, and even if he rejoins the rotation in September, he can be safely avoided in redraft formats.

Keyvious Sampson (RHP, CIN) has been solid in his first three starts, with two PQS-4 outings and a PQS-3, and his spot appears safe for the time being. He's posted a 15:7 K:BB ratio in 17 innings (including a one inning relief appearance), which is in line with a history of control...
