Forty percent of last year's rotation has departed via trade in recent weeks, leaving the door open for a couple of youngsters to step in. Just who those players will be remains to be seen, but there are several in-house options—along with plenty of time to make another move.

  • Tony Cingrani (LHP, CIN) had a stellar 2013 campaign, as he put up a 2.92 ERA and 10.3 Dom in 23 games (18 starts). He was effective in his first five starts last year, before shoulder woes led to a DL stint, a 5.91 ERA in his last eight appearances, and eventually ended his season in June. He probably has the inside track on a rotation spot, provided he's healthy, and could be a bargain coming off a disappointing season.
