After hitting just .182 with one HR over his first 121 AB, Carlos Gómez's (OF, HOU) return from the DL and immediate insertion into the lineup has put a white-hot spotlight on the OF's poor production.  His BPIs—including a .185 xBA, 62% HctX and 0.15 Eye—all suggest that none of this has been due to poor luck, leaving the Astros hoping beyond hope that a bruised ribcage was the primary factor, since nothing else seems to be working apart from George Springer.
