Back in late February as spring training began, we were projecting the SEA SS battle as a platoon between Brad Miller (SS/OF/DH) and Chris Taylor (SS, SEA). It's been a circuitous route—through Taylor's early-season injury, slumps and job changes/demotions by both hitters at different times—but that's near where we are right now. The left-handed-hitting Miller is the primary starter, but he still gets regular time off against the LHPs that have held him to a .190 BA (.214 career) and no HR. Miller's .802 OPS ,11% bb% and 8 HR vs. RHP—along with his 9 SB—keep him productive at a scarce fantasy position. But while his defense has improved markedly, it rates as average at best by most metrics, which motivated SEA's brief...
