Off to an 8-17 start thanks in part to the AL West's worst team offensive performance (3.6 runs per game), injuries are the only hits that just keep on coming for the Rangers. Missing their middle infield for a big chunk of the early season, the Rangers are about to lose Adrián Béltre (3B, TEX) to a hamstring strain for an as-of-yet indeterminable period, news that will be covered in more depth in our Playing Time Today space. This not only removes another potent bat from the lineup, but creates more defensive questions for a team already plagued with them.

Slugging LF prospect Willie Calhoun's (OF, TEX) was one option to replace Beltre, though the team didn't exercise it. Calhoun's promotion could still be imminent, but...
