Despite the Mariners' public claims that struggling Brad Miller (SS, SEA) remains their SS, the team, whose offense was 10th in AL runs scored entering Monday, can't afford to keep him in the lineup on a daily basis. Following an expectation-raising 265 AB debut in 2013 that flashed a live bat and double-digit SB potential, Miller's ct% has plummeted by 12% to 71%—and dragged his BA down to an unsustainable .154 over his first 136 AB in 2014.
