Another year, another power outage for Dustin Pedroia (2B, BOS)? Owners had to be at least somewhat concerned about the possibility after the second baseman required a cortisone shot to treat a sore left wrist.

Entering the season, Pedroia’s PX had been on a three-year slide, and his xPX had dipped two years in a row. Last year’s power outage, though, can be attributed to a torn ligament in his thumb, which required off-season surgery.
