PT TOMORROW: AL East—For whom will SP chance come in BOS?

Boston Red Sox

BaseballHQ analyst Matt Gelfand’s recent Fact/Flukes column threw a well-deserved caution flag on two-fifths of the Red Sox starting rotation: Clay Buchholz (RHP, BOS) and Joe Kelly (RHP, BOS). Coming off a bad year, Justin Masterson (RHP, BOS) could hardly be said to be a sure thing, and perhaps the same could be said of NL crossover Wade Miley (LHP, BOS), though the three-year contract he signed this offseason indicates that the team, at least, has some confidence in him.  All of this uncertainty could present an opportunity in short order, but for whom?

Brandon Workman (RHP, BOS), too, may be better off in the bullpen. But he has flashed enough skill and success (40%/20% DOM/DIS in 2014) to bear watching.
