PT TOMORROW: AL East — In NYY, Stanton ready for lights to go up, but whither Judge?

A widespread perception had been that the Yankees would be one of the primary beneficiaries of a delayed start to the season, given that it had a pair of sluggers, Giancarlo Stanton (DH, NYY) and Aaron Judge (OF, NYY) on the mend from injuries.

With respect to Stanton, that view still holds: By the third week in March, his injured calf had healed sufficiently that he would have been on the field, if games were still being played.

But in Judge’s case, the picture is far more murky. At last report, he was “still in the healing phase” of a cracked rib that he is now believed to have suffered last September and still a “few weeks” away from being re-evaluated.
