NL West: Early season struggles for Outman and Lux

With right-handed hitting utility players Kiké Hernández, Chris Taylor and SS Miguel Rojas on the roster, the Dodgers have employed strict platoons thus far this season with lefties James Outman and Gavin Lux. Outman and Lux have both started every game against right-handed starters, but just one game each against a lefty starter. Unfortunately for Outman and Lux, they have both struggled all around so far this season. 

Outman (.139/.262/.250 with 1 HR, 4 RBI and 0 SB across 42 PA) is striking out at an alarming rate (36% K%) but continues to walk at a high rate (11% BB%), though a 20% H% and an xBA of .214 indicate some bad luck. He is also hitting more line drives (33% LD%) and fewer fly balls (28% FB%). Outman...
