The news out of Cardinals camp still revolves around trade rumors, which surely isn't what any Cardinals fan wants to hear as the calendar turns to March. As beat writers go back and forth on Nolan Arenado's future in St. Louis or the possible returns for Cardinals closer Ryan Helsley, let's look at a different part of their depth chart: designated hitter.

The Cardinals parted ways with former first baseman Paul Goldschmidt earlier this offseason and moved Willson Contreras from behind the dish to first. That sets up a platoon of Iván Herrera and Pedro Pages behind the plate, with Herrera projected for about 65% of the at bats, but it's still a crowded roster situation with a lot of interesting young hitters.
