DIVISIONAL OUTLOOK: NL Central—Cueto nearing return

Johnny Cueto (RHP, CIN) threw a successful 35-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday that has the Reds believing he can rejoin the rotation for a Sunday start against the Brewers. He will throw again on Friday. With two DL stints as the result of oblique and lat strains, Cueto has made only six starts this season, but he sports a 2.17 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP. 

Cueto's return means that Tony Cingrani (LHP, CIN) will be sent back to AAA-Louisville. Cingrani has been exceptional in seven starts filling in for Cueto, with a 3.15 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. Manager Dusky Baker indicated that the Reds considered the possibility of moving Cingrani to the bullpen and keeping him in the majors, but they decided that course of action might not be...
