NEWS: Chicago placed LHP Jordan Wicks on the 15-day IL with a strained left forearm.

BHQ SPIN: Wicks was scratched from his scheduled start on Sunday with soreness in his left forearm and will now miss at least two weeks after being placed on the 15-day IL. In Wicks’ place, Hayden Wesneski, who had been in Chicago’s bullpen as a long reliever, made the start on Sunday. Wesneski may stick around for 1-2 starts depending on the return timeline of Justin Steele, who is targeting a rehab assignment this week and threw 47 pitches in an extended spring training game on Friday.
