NEWS: Yankees closer Luke Weaver is expected to be placed on the injured list June 3 after straining his hamstring while warming up on June 1.

BHQ SPIN: Weaver may be sidelined for four to six weeks, according to ESPN.com’s Jeff Passan, though more is expected to be known about his recovery timetable today. RHP Devin Williams is expected to return to the closer role he had lost to Weaver, and his skills over the last month (197 BPV, 2.34 xERA) suggest he should be up to the task. That is true even as unfavorable hit and strand rates (33% and 60%, respectively) have conspired to ding his results, including in a white-knuckle save conversion (1 IP, 2 ER, 3 H) on May 27 when Weaver was down...
