NEWS: Met manager Carlos Mendoza said Sunday that closer Edwin Díaz will shift to a “fluid” role.
IMPACT: High 
BHQ SPIN:  Diaz started off 2024 pitching well, albeit with a fastball a couple of clicks below his 2022 velocity, but has struggled of late. Those struggles culminated Saturday with Diaz blowing a four-run ninth inning lead to the Marlins. We’ve dropped his projected saves percentage from 85% to 70%. A further reduction could be in the cards if he doesn’t right the ship soon. For now we’ve given both Adam Ottavino and Reed Garrett 15% save projections. Garrett got a two-inning save Sunday. While he doesn’t have Ottavino’s resume, the 31-year old has been excellent this season....
