BHQ take: Valbuena tore this same hamstring last July, requiring surgery and prematurely ending his 2016. So this isn't great news, and we may be still be overestimating his 2017 playing time. The Angels said that he would be in the lineup everyday vR, but now Valbuena's shelving gives C.J. Cron a clear shot at establishing himself at 1B with a fast start.
