Cardinals | José Martínez to be 'everyday' first baseman
St. Louis Cardinals 1B/OF José Martínez played '15 or so' games at first base in Venezuela and worked all spring at the position with infield coach Jose Oquendo, who acknowledged Martinez is 'our everyday guy.' 'Once in a while, (Martinez is) going to get rest and we’ll use (Matt Carpenter) out there (at first base), But, for the most part, it looks like Martinez is going to be there every day,' Oquendo said.  Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Rick Hummel
