Updating previous reports, Seattle Mariners 1B/DH Edwin Encarnación was traded to the New York Yankees in exchange for RHP Juan Then and cash considerations on Saturday, June 15.  Source: yankees.mlb.com
 
BHQ take: Encarnacion's arrival both streamlines and complicates the Yankee roster. He and Luke Voit should consume all of the playing time at first base as well as most of the DH AB. That will serve to limit the DH opportunities for Giancarlo Stanton (shoulder) and Aaron Judge (oblique) as they near their IL returns, which could mean each will see a few more...
