Blue Jays | IL stint ahead for Julian Merryweather
Toronto Blue Jays RHP Julian Merryweather (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain Wednesday, April 14. The Blue Jays also selected the contract of RHP Anthony Castro from the team's alternate training site.  Source: MLB.com
 
BHQ take: Just when it looked like Merryweather was about to claim the Toronto closer job, his oblique has sidetracked him. While he is out, the Blue Jays are expected to turn to Rafael Dolis and Jordan Romano, who were thought to have the inside track on the closer job before Merryweather emerged....
