NEWS: Milwaukee acquired RHP Lance McCullers Jr., LHP Colton Gordon and cash from the Houston Astros in exchange for minor-league infielder Jadyn Fielder.

BHQ SPIN: The starting pitcher ranks on the Brewers were starting to get a little thin, so this brings in a couple of new arms to the organization. Health has been the main concern for McCullers. He missed all of 2019 recovering from Tommy John surgery and then missed all of 2023 and 2024 recovering from right flexor tendon surgery and bone spur removal. McCullers’ velocity is down almost three mph since his excellent 2021 season and the control has also been suspect (41% ball%) in both 2025 and 2026. This is mainly seen as a salary dump...
