BHQ SPIN: The Rangers made undoubtedly the biggest splash so far in free agency, signing RHP Jacob deGrom to a 5-year deal. The 34-year-old deGrom’s deal is without question the biggest risk/reward contract of the offseason. When healthy, deGrom has been nothing short of sensational, but he hasn’t been healthy for a full season since the pandemic-shortened 2020, although he ended 2022 on the mound.
