NEWS: Chicago reinstated RHP Daniel Palencia from the 15-Day IL.

BHQ SPIN: Chicago welcomed back Palencia after a relatively short IL stint for an oblique strain. We had been increasing Palencia’s save projection in short increments as positive updates rolled in about his recovery, so only a slight increase is necessary at this time. Palencia’s return stabilizes the ninth inning for Chicago, as the team had been using a committee approach to the ninth inning recently. In a corresponding move, Chicago designated Yacksel Ríos, who was filling a low-leverage role, for assignment.
